Review of Swop by the National Deaf Children’s Society, (NDCS)

“I related to Ivy as she wears two hearing aids like me!” Martha

Martha is moderately to severely deaf and wears two hearing aids and reviewed Swop for the NDCS.

Swop features a deaf character called Ivy. She uses sign language and wears two hearing aids. Lucy Noguera the author was a Teacher of the Deaf and always makes sure she includes some deaf awareness in her author sessions on Swop. There is also a finger spelling chart at the back of the book so you can learn some signing at home.
